My health journey started in High School with varsity sports and weight training. Then came a whole new training experience when I joined the United States Marines. Weight training, obstacle courses, training in high altitudes on skis in places like Bridgeport California, long hikes in the jungles of Thailand, training with Republic of Korea Marines, training with British Royal Marines are all great experiences on my journey of health. My father then fell ill with esophageal cancer while I was deployed in Iraq. When I got back I chose to get out of the Marines and help care for my dad before he passed away. That set me on a whole new direction and how I became a Massage Therapist. When I started looking at my dad's cancer I realized that I knew a lot about breaking a body apart and pushing my body to the limits but very little about how to increase one's own health. From here I starting researching cancer. This brought me to get my raw foods nutrition certification and a desire to get into the health field. When I looked into the different health fields, symptom suppression wasn't an option for me nor did I have a desire to spent 8 years in school. That is when Massage fell right into place. Pain, joint issues, back issues, hip issues, sleep problems, flexibility issues, physical performance issues, ect... are just a few of the things massage can help with. When you start combining nutrition with massage, then you really start a synergy when it comes to your health. I look forward to hearing about your needs and where you are in your health journey so that we can continue down the path of excellent health together!
